The challenge of the ultimate mountain
A staggering elevation of more than 1,900 metres will have to be surmounted to win the race starting in St. Niklaus at 1,085 metres above sea level, up to the world-famous resort of Zermatt (1,616 m.a.s.l.), and finishing on Riffelberg, towering 2,585 metres above sea level amidst 29 four-thousand-meter summits. An immensity of wild nature along this marathon course of 42.195 kilometres awaits discovery.
Free journey during the race-weekendAll participants go on over the weekend, Friday, 8th July 2011 to Sunday, 10 th July 2011, for free on the following routes: Brig-Zermatt (MGBahn), St. Niklaus – Grächen (Postal), Zermatt – Gornergrat (GGB) and Sunegga Zermatt (Zermatt Mountain Funicular). |
