We are in the middle of the preparations for the 19th Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon, but unfortunately, we do not know whether the running adventure on the most beautiful mountain in the world will take place as planned on 3 July 2021.

However, to give you some planning security, we will now inform you as follows:

• If running events are permitted again from the beginning of July, the Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon will take place on the weekend of 3rd/4th July 2021. Relay, Marathon and Ultra marathon start as usual on Saturday at 8.30 from St. Niklaus and on Sunday, 4th July,10.15 is the starting time for the half marathon in Zermatt.
• If no running events can take place in July, we will postpone the Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon to the weekend of 28th/29th August 2021.
• For runners who cannot be present on the August weekend or on Sunday, 4th July 2021, we will transfer the starting place to 2022. The 20th Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon will take place on 2nd July 2022 - the anniversary edition awaits with various surprises. ????
• If you cannot start in 2022, we will extend the validity of your entry for another 365 days, and you will have the opportunity to stand at the starting line of the running adventure on the most beautiful mountain in the world on 1st July 2023.

On 19th May 2021 we will decide on the date of the event.

Should there be any changes in the meantime, we will inform you via website and/or email.
